About Akhona
I am a Mathematics and Physics Graduate at Rhodes University.
I assisted matric students as a volunteer tutor with both mathematics and physical sciences from school in Grahamstown.
I worked as a physics teacher at Gadra Matric School in Grahamstown, 2018 and 2019. I started tutoring in 2011.
I am currently doing PGCE SP&FET majoring in Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy, Physics and Natural Science at University of Cape. I am Math and Science enthusiast.

I teach basics of Mathematics and Physics. I employ a problem solving approach. I emphasize the mathematics and science language. It important that one is comfortable with the language itself. Expect to make sense of a given problem before solving it. A typical example would be like : Explain why x^2+1=0 has no real solutions. To answer this question one could probably state that the quantity x^2 is either zero or bigger than zero(it's positive). It follows then adding 1 to x^2 means that the answer can either be 1,x=0, or bigger than 1(x>0). hence x^2+1 is either 1 or always bigger than 1. It can't be zero.
