About Elise
I have been a classroom teacher for 11 years and a tutor for 15 - my students are always won over by my passion, enthusiasm and genuine love for languages. I have helped retired students to master conversational language to enrich their holidays, and started five year old students on a journey of lifelong language learning. I also come with a wealth of knowledge of current GCSE and A level specifications, and a bank of outstanding resources created by myself.
When you are in my classroom, you are an active participant and should feel comfortable to ask questions, laugh, make mistakes and enjoy yourself. Learning a language is a delightful journey that I hope to share with you.

In my 15 years of tutoring, I have found that feeling calm and comfortable is key to learning well. I have a range of experience - from 5 years to retired students, looking to order a beer in Spanish. I will adapt to what you need during the lessons. My speciality is preparing GCSE and A level students for upcoming exams.
We will work on improving your skills using different media such as textbooks, music, video and literature, so as to keep the lessons interesting and informative. I believe a mix of old school drilling and games helps students to make excellent progress.
An hour at a time allows us to understand the language on a deeper level and start to master your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills quickly.
