About Florence

I am a fourth year medical student, with dual french/british nationality. I now study medicine in the UK, though I've lived in France most of my life. (I have the added benefit of a decent insight into french culture!) I am completely fluent, speaking both languages at home and having attended bilingual schools my whole life. These offered a dual curriculum (meaning I sat both british and french exams). I also studied German and Spanish at school, so I know what it's like to start a new language from scratch too!
I have been exposed to different ways of learning in my school's academically demanding environment, whilst I have also provided english tuition to young pupils in the past. I believe such experiences have helped me develop my confidence and skills as a teacher.

About the lesson

I'd like to teach preferably secondary school or college students to improve their academic level but also build their confidence and ease with the language. Each lesson would ideally focus on all four pillars of learning: reading comprehension, written expression, and oral comprehension/expression. I like to keep testing new vocabulary several weeks later through active recall to enhance long-term memory.
However, I'm also willing to tailor the lessons completely to the student's wishes. If you are searching for assistance with homework or more laid-back conversational sessions I can offer those too!
